Totem does not sell your data, show advertising, or track you across other apps and websites. It has no user accounts.
Your alarms (times, labels, and repeat days) and an identifier for the NFC tag you register are saved only on your device and are never uploaded. The number of emergency overrides you have used is stored in the device keychain so that it survives reinstalling the app.
Totem is a paid subscription app. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see or receive your card details. To check whether your subscription is active we use RevenueCat, which processes a randomly generated app-install identifier along with purchase records (which product you bought, when it renews or expires, and the country of your App Store account).
That identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or Apple ID, and it is not used for advertising or shared with advertisers. It exists only so the app can tell whether to unlock your alarms. Your alarms, labels, and tag identifier are never sent to RevenueCat or anywhere else.
Notifications are used only to sound your alarms. NFC is used only to read the identifier of the tag you register, so the app can recognise that same tag later. Face ID or your device passcode is used only to confirm an emergency override; the result of that check is never stored or shared, and Totem never receives your biometric data.
Deleting the app removes your alarms and your registered tag. The emergency override count intentionally persists in the device keychain, so that the monthly limit cannot be bypassed by reinstalling the app. That value is a small number of timestamps and contains no personal information.
Totem is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
