An alarm clock you switch off by scanning an NFC tag.
Any blank NDEF-formatted NFC sticker or tag — NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 all work and are inexpensive online. Stick it somewhere you have to get out of bed to reach.
Hold the very top of the phone flat against the tag; the NFC antenna sits at the top edge, not the middle. Totem needs an iPhone 7 or later. A metal surface directly behind the tag can also block the read — try moving it.
On the ringing screen, tap "Lost your tag?" and confirm with Face ID. This is limited to twice every 30 days on purpose, and you'll be asked to register a replacement tag straight afterwards.
Check that notifications are allowed for Totem in iOS Settings, and that the app hasn't been force-quit from the app switcher — iOS won't let a closed app play audio on its own. Note that Totem cannot override the physical mute switch; only Apple's Critical Alerts can, and that isn't available to alarm apps.
Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and choose Totem Alarm. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Tap "Restore purchases" on that screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
